To assist the classroom teacher with the implementation of individual and group instruction, testing, and assessment procedures.  Assist in providing IEP support and carrying out behavior management plans.  Follow professional directives to support the child in the school environment when applicable. Assist in other areas as requested by the classroom teacher and/or Pupil Services in support of educational programming.

 

Qualifications:

* Must have a minimum of 2 years of college or 48 college credit hours.

* Ability to implement specially designed instruction and behavior support plan within a child's IEP.

* Ability to follow professional directives to support the child in the school environment.

* Effective interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and a desire to work with children.

* Strong organizational and communication skills.

* Ability to collaborate and problem-solve.

 

$22.45 per hour (pending contract negotiations) after a successful 90-day probationary period.

10-month position, 6 1/2 hours per day (7:40 am to 2:40 pm) not including a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch.
